We’re Not Writing Company Values Yet (And That’s the Whole Point)

Instead of forcing values on day one, we are choosing to let them show up on their own.

I heard Sam Parr say something on My First Million that made me stop the podcast and rewind it twice.

Hampton—the CEO community he co-founded—didn’t create their company values on day one. They waited. They let the community tell them who they were through their actions, not through a whiteboard session where someone suggests “integrity” and everyone nods because what else are you going to say?

We’re two years into building Moll Solutions, and we’re doing the same thing.

Not because we’re lazy. Not because we haven’t thought about it. But because we’d rather be honest about who we actually are than aspirational about who we wish we were.

Here’s What We Think We Stand For (So Far)

These aren’t official. They’re not laminated. They might change. But if you’ve worked with us, this will probably sound familiar:

We’re transparent to a fault.
If we don’t have your load covered yet, we’ll tell you. If we’re still hunting for a driver, you’ll know. We won’t string you along with “we’re working on it” when what we really mean is “we’re panicking but don’t want to admit it.”

We value speed.
You call, we answer. You text, we respond. If we miss you, you’ll hear back in 30 minutes or less. Not because we have some fancy system and we just think it’s disrespectful to leave people hanging.

We earn trust through actions, not buzzwords.
We don’t rely on “best-in-class” or “industry-leading” or any of that stuff. We show up. We follow through (most of the time). We deliver (most of the time). And when we don’t, we own it.

We own our mistakes out loud.
If we drop the ball, we say so. No excuses. No blame-shifting. No ghosting you and hoping you forget. We’d rather have an uncomfortable conversation than pretend everything’s fine.

We don’t overpromise.
We don’t underdeliver. We’d rather set a real expectation and beat it than chase business with false confidence. If something’s tight, we’ll tell you it’s tight.

People over polish.
We’re human. We talk like humans. We build relationships like humans. Straightforward beats perfect every time. We move fast, communicate clearly, and fix what needs fixing—without pretending to be a 500-person operation when we’re not.

We keep learning.
Every load teaches us something. Every mistake becomes a process improvement. We stay scrappy. We stay hungry. We get better.

We respect the work—and the people doing it.
We don’t let customers talk down to our team. And our team will never talk down to you. This industry runs on people busting their ass to move freight. We remember that.

Why We’re Not Writing These in Stone Yet

Because we’re still figuring it out.

We’re still learning what kind of company we want to be when things get hard. When we have to choose between a big contract and doing the right thing. When growth pressures us to cut corners.

The real test of values isn’t what you write on your website. It’s what you do when no one’s looking. Or when everyone’s looking and it’s inconvenient.

So we’re waiting. We’re watching. We’re letting our actions accumulate into something real.

And when we finally do write them down? They’ll mean something. Because they won’t be aspirational—they’ll be a reflection of what we’ve already been doing.

If this sounds like the kind of freight broker you want to work with—straight-shooting, fast-moving, and allergic to BS—reach out. We’d love to hear from you.
